The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence has recently published an update of its guidance on medicines for dementia. Denise Taylor describes the history of this guidance and how the changes may impact on practice.
Eribulin mesylate (Halaven; Eisai) has recently received European marketing authorisation for use in locally advanced and metastatic breast cancer. This article describes the evidence for its efficacy and safety.
